Mission Sunday

A Celebration of Faith in Action

The Missionary Ministry

The Missionary Ministry

Rooted in Christ’s Great Commission (Matthew 28:19–20) and the call to love our neighbor (Mark 12:31), our Missionary Ministry exists to extend Christ’s love far beyond our walls. We serve, equip, and empower communities—both near and far—not simply through words, but through deeds that transform lives. Whether spiritually, physically, or emotionally, we believe that everywhere people suffer, God’s love can shine.

From Mission to Ministries: Connecting Our Outreach

Mission Sunday is our opportunity each year to pause with purpose—to hear how the Gospel moves through every arm of our church’s outreach. Because mission is more than a service; it’s the heartbeat of what we do. Beyond sharing the Word, our faith calls us to feed the hungry, heal the sick, support the vulnerable, and create pathways for dignity and hope.
Some of the ways this takes flesh among us:
  • Food Pantry — When families face scarcity, we stand ready. Our pantry is a place of nourishment and compassion, offering essential food and a reminder that no one walks alone.
  • MFP (Maddie Fletcher Powell) — Kids’ outreach that partners with the Health Ministry for wellness programs and helps decorate the sanctuary for Black History Month.
  • Health Ministry — Health is more than physical wellness. It’s peace of mind, quality of life, and dignity. Our Health efforts bring care, clinics, knowledge, and support to our community.

Mission Sunday: Why It Matters

On November 16, we gather together not only to worship, but to witness. To listen—through the powerful preached Word by Dr. Jeffrey Haggray—and to see stories: of lives changed, of communities served, and of love incarnate in action.
  • Be renewed in your vision for what church can be when mission is central.
  • Learn how your gifts, your time, even your presence, can change lives—near or far.
  • Connect with others committed to walking the mission path together.

We invite every member, every friend, and every heart stirred by God’s call: come, see, participate. Be part of the story He is writing through all our ministries—where healing, feeding, supporting, and preaching come together to complete the picture of God’s love in us and through us.
