A Gift of Hope: Abyssinian Supports Historic Bushwick Church

The Abyssinian Baptist Church presented a $5,000 gift to South Bushwick Reformed Church following the devastating fire that damaged its historic sanctuary. Led by Rev. Dr. Kevin R. Johnson, the donation reflects our commitment to standing alongside neighboring congregations in faith, compassion, and hope as they begin the journey toward restoration.

When the Government Shuts Down, God's People Stand Up

Beloved, these are extraordinary times. With the government shutdown, job losses, and SNAP benefits in jeopardy, families in our community are struggling to put food on the table—especially during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.


As a Matthew 25 church, we feed the hungry and care for "the least of these." Just as Jesus fed the 5,000 with two fish and five loaves, God is calling us to bring what we have so He can multiply it.
