Christian Social Concerns
“…What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8
Social justice is our Christian duty. God expects the church to speak out against injustice and inequity in the world and work to bring justice to the oppressed. The mission of the Ministry of Christian Social Concern is to uphold Abyssinian’s rich activist history by informing the church of sociopolitical and economic concerns that affect our community, nation, and world. Advocates, policy makers, experts, and other social justice leaders are regularly convened for lectures and forums.
The Ministry for Christian Social Concern meets every 2nd Monday at 6:30pm.
