ACP Memorial Ministry
“I will give you pastors after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15
At certain times in history, God will send leaders of extraordinary influence, commitment, and service to pastor a church. Abyssinian has been blessed with two such pastoral leaders, Pastors Adam Clayton Powell, Sr. and Jr. This memorial ministry was organized to celebrate and commemorate the life and work of this pastoral pair. The memorial is held annually on the fourth Sunday in May and is now known as Pastor’s Memorial Sunday.
The ACP Memorial Ministry meets every 4th Sunday at 1:30pm in the Sanctuary.
