Enrollment Information
Classes are in session for six (6) weeks during the regular term and usually meet weeknights from 700 – 830PM. Registration is held on the first night of class. There is NO REGISTRATION FEE. All are welcome to register for individual courses without committing to a certificate program.
Books – Textbooks are not provided. The cost of required textbooks are the responsibility of the student and may be purchased at the Abyssinian Bookstore.
Grades – Students may enroll in Abyssinian Institute Courses for Credit or Audit. Only courses taken for Credit will be counted toward the completion of the Abyssinian Certificate Program. Credit is awarded based on attendance and satisfactory completion of course requirements.
Cancellation – The Abyssinian Institute reserves the right to cancel any course for which there is not sufficient enrollment or for any reason it deems appropriate.
The Certificate Program - Those who are interested in a systematic plan of study designed for laypersons should enroll in the Certificate Program. Certificates are awarded only to students who take courses for Credit and meet all of the course requirements for successful completion. The Abyssinian Institute for Christian Education awards three different certificates:
| I. | The Discipleship Certificate is awarded to the student who completes three (3) courses in any one of the four (4) areas of study. This is a one-year program of study. |
| II. | The Advanced Certificate is awarded to the student who completes three (courses) in each of two areas of study, for a total of 6 courses. This is a 1-2 year program of study. |
| III. | The Lay Leadership Certificate is awarded to the student who completes three courses in each of the four areas of study, for a total of 12 courses. This is a 2 year program of study. |
